Launching ADD/NSIF Project at Le Morne

ADD is implementing an NSIF-Funded school project at Le Morne Government Primary school. The three components include:

      1.  Football Tournament          (22 May 2022)

      2.  Mangrove Sensitisation      (26 June 2022)

      3.  Provision of a book shelf     (01 July 2022)

 

This first activity - the Football Tournament -  was held on 22 May 2022

Mr S. Ragoonaden, ADD President welcomed all. The first activity was a football tournament organised on 22 May 2022 at 15:00  pm on the playground of Le Morne village council. It was  proposed by Mr. J. Ramalingam, the coach and a prominent personality.

Pupils of Grades 5 and Grade 6 of the school participated . T Shirts wih ADD/NSIF Logos were provided. The State Bank Of Mauritius (SBM) has also sponsored the event. The final was between  a Grade 5 and a Grade 6 teams and was won by the former  3-1

Mrs Montocchio, Village Council President, Councillors , Ms Jodhea(MIE), the villagers and several ADD members graced the occasion

ADD/MIE - A Bookshelf for the children of Le Morne

A bookshelf designed and built by the Mauritius Institute of Education (MIE) was received by ADD and the members of the Village Council on 1 July 2022. The bookshelf is a symbol of the education drive of ADD. Some books will be bought. ADD is grateful to MIE for this invaluable contribution.

ADD would invite ADD members and the public to offer books, CDs  and games in English and French for children.
